It's Where Every Award Project Starts.
At Award Construction Ltd. Safety is a part of everything we do. Our top priority is always the protection of our employees, the public, and the environment. Safety is more than a business commitment- it’s our moral obligation. Each employee, from the craft worker to the president, have the personal responsibility to follow and enforce all elements of Award’s Health and Safety program.
Safety Starts at the Top
When it comes to safety on jobsites everyone has a big part to play! Through inspections, hazard assessments, and meetings; all employees as Award have a significant role in safety. Working together toward the common goal of creating and maintaining a safe workplace environment.
Management accountability and a structured approach to safety discussions are key components to our safety culture. At Award we utilize regular safety meetings, open door policies, and the creation of open dialog to ensure that everyone’s opinions and concerns are addressed. Our entire teams’ participation in the Health and Safety Program is what makes it a success.
Our Safety Practices
Award employees understand that safety is not something we do in addition to work; it’s how we work. Our top of the line training program and on-the-job training procedures teach employees to identify and correct unsafe work practices immediately.
We hare always creating and updating our Safe Work Practices and Procedures. These are a crucial tool in the safe execution of tasks our workers preform. These Practices and Procedures are great for learning tools in new tasks and for refreshers on common tasks. Created by the workers for the workers.
Inspections and professional level program audits systematically reduce the chance of injuries and accidents. We continuously improve on safety by analyzing trends and sharing best practices. We maintain an impeccable safety record and utilize all available resources to stay on the cutting edge of construction safety.
Safety Committees bring workers and supervisors from different trades together to discuss and address health and safety related concerns on a jobsite. With regular meetings these committees help to establish a strong safety culture on sites as well as encourage open communication between all trades in regards to the Health and Safety environment on a project.
